This course explains the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) system and its principles, and the various processes performed by the organization to ensure the safety of workers, protect them from ill health and injury, and work towards continual improvement.

Eligibility

  • Employees actively engaged in developing and implementing OHS
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience (OHS Engineers & Managers, Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Safety, and Utility)

  • History of the ISO 45001:2018 Standard
  • Transition changes
  • Clause explanations
  • The need and requirements of clauses – high level
  • Definition of terms
  • Understanding the various processes
  • Benefits and goals of the standard

Outcomes

At the end of the course, the participant will be able to:
  • Understand the need for the standard
  • Understand the clause requirements
  • Understand the principles of the OHS system
  • Understand the organization and risks involved

Certification Criteria

  • Attendance: 90% minimum
  • Assignment completion: 100%
  • Post-test assessment score: 70% minimum
